- •Ask about alert fidelity — volume of alerts matters less than the quality of investigation and context provided per alert
- •Verify that the provider de-duplicates and correlates alerts before escalation, not just forwarding raw SIEM output
- •Consider whether your team has the bandwidth to action every alert within the provider's SLA window
