Sponsored placements
- Site sponsor. A capped number of vendors hold labeled placements: a highlighted row near the top of the directory and labeled modules on comparison and best-of pages. These modules never appear on a comparison the sponsor is itself part of.
- Verified profile. A vendor can add screenshots, a demo video, and a contact link to their own profile in a labeled “From the vendor” section. The independent part of the profile does not change.
Each placement carries a “Sponsored” tag and links back to this page. If you cannot tell whether something is paid, report it.
What sponsorship does not change
- Rankings and scores. The site does not rank providers, and no one can pay to rank higher.
- Inclusion. Appearing in the directory is free and independent of any payment.
- Fit assessments, caveats, and community sentiment. These are written independently and cannot be softened for payment.
- Filter and comparison results. What matches a buyer’s filters is decided by the data.
